SYPHON are a metal band and mix alot of influences together to make the sound that we`ve created as original as possible. SYPHON have created a sound that is heavy, although melodic and catchy at the same time!!. SYPHON formed in March 2002 in Bridgwater, Somerset.. Since then we`ve managed to play with some awesome bands along the way... such as.. GUTWORM, MENDEED, DOWNFALL, AXIS OF EVIL, FOURWAYKILL, plus many other great bands. Over the last three years SYPHON have managed to build up a good vibe between the punters and the band members. We have played charity gigs*, plus our own normal self promotion gigs!..

*The "Frightfest 2002" was SYPHON`s first taste of big stage activity!. We played at the Bridgwater Town Hall on 26th October 2002 in support of the B.I.B.I.C. charity and had a great audience reception. We`ve played many gigs in Bridgwater and have also played in Yeovil, Somerset.. SYPHON are always on the look-out for more gigs, and we`re not fussy about where we play!. We`ve also become a confident and entertaining band to watch live. SYPHON only play original material. SYPHON welcome any sort of outside interest and are looking forward to a great 2005.

SYPHON have entered the "Emergenza 2005" band competition and are hoping to go as far in this competition as we can... Hopefully something good can become of entering because we`ve put alot of effort into making our set as entertaining as we can!!. We`ve had alot of trouble with line-up changes over the past years and we now feel that we have found the right line-up to progress with!. After the "Emergenza" competition SYPHON will be making the first steps to record our first E.P./demo. We look forward to seeing you guys at any of our future gigs..
