Minutes of last meeting
There is some issues regarding angi's e-mail account, seb to send
them directly from his laptop once the meeting is over. Seb will
obtain list when meeting is over.
Finances including grant application
Due to the lack of control regarding the treasurers ability to
make cheques and check account balance our current account is
estimated at around 190 pounds. Seb to contact nick on Wednesday
and hopefully get it sorted by Thursday.
· Grant application:
We didn't get it, according to letter because we applied to many
times before its considered a regular revenue, hence we were not
awarded the grant because this type of grant was for a one off
event.
· Current suggestions:
Graham and Dan feel that another type of grant is required, such
are, Princes trust, rugby club possibly funded in the rugby club
car park, Brett(not present) has also applied for princes trust,
carnival clubs could be interested & corporate sponsorship.
A grant for the princes trust would have to be made on behalf
of the SCMG not as an organization. Fee for entry needs to be
discusses, if it is possible or not.
Dan, Wayne Adrian and Brett intending to apply for the princes
trust.
Matt suggests following up on the "arts for all" charity.
Charlie good "time management" is essential when
organizing this event.
Dan/wayne/graham/will put together a proposal and approach rugby
club.
Once proposal completed a SERVICE CONTRACT must be produced.
Website
Nick needs to be contacted regarding website ie. If he is still
interested.
Matt thinks nick is becoming increasingly disinterested
in the SCMG, due to other commitments.
The SCMG formally thanks him for his efforts (nick).
"My space issue"- a "myspace"
account has been created claiming to be the formal voice of the
SCMG (www.myspace.com) the future of this myspace account will
be looked into further.
The account in question was created by an SCMG member(Graham Hodges)
however Graham had no right to create an unauthorized myspace
for the SCMG, and has been asked to remove it until further decisions
regarding this matter.
Graham will remove myspace website ASAP.(decision agreed by all members)
Possible grant for making a website. Charlie suggests this to fund a website.
Charlie invites outside members to become
webmasters, for the SCMG website.
Future of SCMG

Contracts for bands
For bigger bands and smaller bands a suggestion made by charlie
is to make Contracts, to to outline bands agreement . (including
guests list)
Charlie -would like to outline the following issue at art centre
gigs, there have been incidents were the Front door at art centre
gigs have been left open before 7pm , formally the art centre
does not open until 7pm, in future would it be possible to ensure
that the door is not open till 7pm.
Wayne suggests having a meeting twice every month. Suggestion
noted by all members and decision to be made at further meetings,
however it has also been noted there is nothing to prevent promoters
having meetings amongst them self's to discuss matters of gigs
and promotions outside of the SCMG umbrella.
Next meeting

Grant application
adrian submitted application for grant (suspected
amount 1500 (or less)) and also added the grant contained CD production,
summer festival, and varoud other administrative cost. We are
expected to hear back soon as the meeting was last friday (apparently).Adrian
to keep us informed.
Its thought that a new music project is needed for the grant to
be sucessful.
angi concerned about time scale , if money comes in will we have
enough time to actually do the project.
We need to sort out Dates for this coming summerfest should the grant be sucessful.
Wayne suggests donating a Percentage of gig profits to the SCMG fund to go towards summerfest.

Graham- website not updated
The issue of who actually runs the website
is something needed to be addressed when the website is up and
running

Art centre gigs (upcoming and secuirty)
insidents have accured at art centre during gigs and after gigs, this includes excess rubbish, Contraband alchahol,
stewards are not to be involved in the running
and are not the door takers. there must be a minimal of 4 studnts,
and they need to be properly breif, there is to be no alchahol
to go outside the premisis, and stewards need to be at the gig
until the end, and they need to help clean up after the gig. There
is concern about the underage issue. suggestion is to only allow
people over 18 to stay in the bar. Seb and charlie to leazon about
secuirty issues regarding breifing stewards.
signs are going to be put up to inform people to go to the art
centre garden, complain have been made about the noise and the
drink outside.
Damages caused by any insidents has to be paid for by the promotor. An insident happened involving damages done to a door of which have to be paid. (160 pounds)- charlie suggests the SCMG pays the for the damage as it was the SCMG who booked the gig.
Adrian suggests the SCMG buys into the art centres insurance policy to guard against such events before.
Up coming gigs
18th march at the art centre (bretts)- lamb quatet, qullum memorandub,
and they will riot, reco and cut nancy
17th april rugby club (wayne/dan) - not advised, someday, superfisial
, and shoot the moon.
28th april rugby (wayne/dan)-lithic, my little murder, final evolution
& two tone rudys
19th may rugby club (wayne/dan)- blackout, young hollywood, perstulsis
& skylight theory
12th april rugby club (Brett)-young hollywoods, sad to say, &drf
