KT Tunstall (Virgin) http://www.kttunstall.co.uk/
"Tunstall's got a megawatt charisma of her own. She may be new to the ranks of stardom, but she's not going to stay that way for long. This time next year, the hotly tipped (as they say) Kate "KT" Tunstall could be dusting a mantelpiece full of platinum discs." The Guardian

"Last October, armed only with her guitar and a loop pedal, Tunstall effortlessly outperformed such lofty luminaries as The Cure, Embrace and the venerable Jackson Brown on Later with Jools Holland." The Independent

"And so the army of all-singing, songwriting and guitar-wielding girls-next-door, picks up another recruit. But if Amy Winehouse is a mouthy conscript and Katie Melua an eager volunteer, Kate "KT" Tunstall is the most authentic of foot soldiers. It's taken her 10 years and a last-minute appearance on Jools Holland to get here and she's gripping her spotlight with both hands." The BBC
