Karine's songs are not the introspective stuff you might expect from a female singer-songwriter steeped in the folk-roots scene. Stirlingshire-born, Karine is a unique artist, producing striking lyrical observations on people and our place in the world. Musically she is influenced as much by guitar pop hooks, indie rock and alt. country as she is by folk and traditional music.
Musically, the album has an acoustic heart shaped by the four musicians with whom Karine performs live. Along with their Two Tone contemporaries The Specials, The Selecter, and Madness, The Beat became an overnight sensation and one of the most popular and influential bands of the British Ska movement
The Beat scored hits with tunes that have now become so popular that it's hard to remember a time when they didn't exist, such as "Mirror in the Bathroom", "Save it for Later", "I Confess", "Stand Down Margaret", and their serene cover of Andy William's "Can't Get Used To Losing You".

From their early days of playing West Country clubs and pubs, the band has since performed concerts throughout the UK and Europe, including several visits to The Cavern, Liverpool; The Boardwalk, Sheffield; Main Stage, Ashton Court Festival; clubs and theatres in Prague; Krakow; and venues throughout Germany; Slovakia; Poland and the Czech Republic. They also went down a storm at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. In November, the Dart Board Band will be making their US debut when headlining a Beatles Festival in Alabama.
Featuring John, Paul; George; Ringo, and Sgt. Pepper himself on keyboards, the band perform all the great Beatles hits including the complex, psychedelic numbers like “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “Hello Goodbye” as well as the early hits including “She Loves You” and “Help!” This year they have been celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Sgt. Pepper album, with several live concert performances of the entire album, something never before achieved by a British Beatle tribute.
The band holds the distinction of being the only tribute band in the world to be featured in a commercially released book. Entitled “Being John Lennon”, the book was written by Martin Dimery who plays John in the band. It is a funny and critically acclaimed account of their early days on the road. The second volume was published this year, and will shortly be released as an audio book by CTW Records in the US.
Sgt. Pepper’s Only Dart Board Band played their first ever gig, at the Bridgwater Arts Centre in 1996 when they were the backing band for a show called “All You Need is Love” . According to Martin Dimery: “We always enjoy playing in Bridgwater. Many of our overseas gigs have come about thanks to Bridgwater’s wonderful Anglo- Czech – Slovak Association. It is particularly exiting to be performing at the Palace for the first time.”

Press Release: Formerly of Irish fusion band Moving Hearts, Mick Hanly marries his early US rock 'n' roots influences with a deep love of traditional music.

Long been regarded as one of Ireland's finest singer-songwriters, his songs have been recorded by artists Hal Ketchum, Mary Black, Delbert McClinton, Dolores Keane and Christy Moore.

His songs, 'Past The Point of Rescue' (as performed by rising Nashville country star, Hal Ketchum) stormed the U.S. country singles and album charts and remained there for several months, where it earned the coveted Gold Disc for both performer and writer. Press Release: GROWN AT HOME have risen through the ranks of the UK's punk scene by blending dynamic, energetic and unrivalled live shows with the cutting edge of punk, hardcore and ska. In 2004 the band unleashed their first EP on an unsuspecting public, the aftermath of which led to acclaimed reviews in the UK music press, and airplay on BBC Radio 1 (The Lock Up), Kerrang! FM, and Subculture BBC Stoke. Their first UK tour saw GROWN AT HOME hitting the road for a solid month supporting 'Howards Alias' and 'Sonic Boom Six', gaining a nationwide following in the process. With fans across the country and numerous big-name tours with the likes of 'Voodoo Glow Skulls', 'Rx Bandits', 'Never Heard of It', and 'The Aquabats', GROWN AT HOME show no signs of faltering yet.

They a six piece ska punk band from Guildford who've been together more or less since dinosaurs ruled the earth. We used to be called Duff Muffin, but changed our name in the hope our music might be taken a bit more seriously.The music is a blend of Two Tone and third wave ska, but there's loads of other genres that tend to creep in: punk, jazz, dub, rock to name a few.
