The Hot Sprockets
The Hot Sprockets are five brethren who came together with a shared love of rock n’ roll music; the kind that is haunted by the ghost of electric dirt. Take the good-time revolutionary spirit of MC5, add some rough-edged Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and then simmer it down to the sounds of bittersweet soul yearnings, you are somewhere close to the cosmic realm of The Hot Sprockets.
The band were brought together through a shared love of Rock n’ Roll music. They have been together for six energetic years. All band members hail from the suburbs of South Dublin, and their sound has been described as the perfect blend of Americana and bluesy Irish rock n’ roll.
The Hot Sprockets have had the success they have had by being one of the best live bands on the scene, quickly building up a great reputation around Dublin. This then translated to Nationwide tours, taking in nearly every one of the 32 counties in Ireland! Over the last 18 months alone, the band has sold out some of Dublin’s finest indie-rock venues – Whelan’s (400cap), The Village (650 cap) and the Button Factory (600 cap), also incorporating a sell-out National tour in support of the album.
