Alizarina

Alizarina

From a techno kick to a melodious clarinet, Alizarina blends electronic, klezmer, Balkan, and Gypsy influences. Born of travels and boundless curiosity, his music will carry you away—or not—but it will surely make you reflect…

Simon, aka Alizarina, creates compositions inspired by traditional elements: a sonic journey from Brittany to Romania, at times infused with a warmth drawn from Oriental or South American colors. At the heart of it all, the clarinet guides the way, echoing klezmer, Balkan, classical, and Celtic accents alike. An electronic canvas sustains and energizes the acoustic timbres, wrapped in a frank and vibrant rhythm. A new UFO on the music scene: a sound that takes root, a melody that lingers, an alchemist of electronic music such as we rarely encounter.

Alizarin is a red pigment extracted from the root of the madder plant. Alizarina is vivid, moving, organic, floral, and poetic. It takes root in raw feeling, intensity, and life itself. After the debut album Melodic Blossom, the flower blooms anew, revealing four petals under the name Rubia Harmonia.

Alizarina plays also as a duo and quartet which brings a different universe in both versions.

Génial, un super compositeur et une clarinette magique!
