DJ Skipper is a djing puppet that originated in the stage shows of musical artist Elmer (NL). In these shows he acted as dj and hype-dog during Elmer’s performance which quickly saw him become an integral and very popular part of the show. After touring with Elmer for a couple of years they decided to each go their own way. Now DJ Skipper is unleashed and djing at clubs and festivals. He’s starting out in the Netherlands but his ambitions are world wide.
DJ Skipper is a collaboration between a puppeteer and various DJ’s with the main collaborators at the moment being The Stress and Graaf Drankula. Musically the pendulum of a DJ Skipper show swings between recognition and confusion. Eclectic but sexy. Miami bass, club house, punk & disco and most things in between. The DJ Skipper DJ Show aims to create a space that anyone with an open mind, kindness in their heart and a will to party hard can enjoy.
