Gary Quinn

Born in Omagh, Northern Ireland, and now Manchester-based, Gary Quinn has established himself as one of the leading lights of the UK country music scene. Blending the timeless storytelling of traditional country with the energy and polish of modern Nashville, Quinn has earned multiple accolades, a growing international audience and a reputation as one of the UK’s most authentic country voices.

Inspired by artists including Garth Brooks, Chris Young and Cody Johnson, Gary has built his career around heartfelt songwriting and a distinctive vocal style. His catalogue includes a string of UK Country Chart No.1 singles, with his music receiving support across radio and major Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists.

Quinn’s music received further international recognition in 2026 when “Country Strait,” his collaboration with William Michael Morgan, won Vocal Event of the Year at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville. The song was also nominated for Song of the Year – Country (Duo/Collaboration), marking another significant milestone in Quinn’s career.

The Josie win adds to an already impressive collection of accolades. Quinn is an eight-time British Country Music Association (BCMA) Award winner, with honours including Male Vocalist of the Year and UK Songwriter of the Year, and has continued to receive recognition among the UK country community.

Beyond his own recording career, Quinn is a passionate advocate for country music in the UK and Europe. He is co-founder of Buckle & Boots Festival in Manchester and the driving force behind Country on the Clyde in Glasgow. In 2026, Buckle & Boots expanded internationally for the first time with the launch of Buckle & Boots Switzerland in Aarau, extending the festival’s reach into mainland Europe and bringing its mix of UK, European and international country talent to a new audience.

His reputation as a live performer has increasingly taken him beyond the UK, with appearances across Germany, Holland, Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Lithuania. In 2026, that international reach continued with performances at Festival Country Craponne in France and Coming Home Festival in Norway, further establishing Quinn on the European country circuit.

Quinn’s connection with Nashville runs deep. He has performed multiple times at the legendary Bluebird Café, as well as venues including The Listening Room and The Stage on Broadway, and has appeared during CMA Fest. As a songwriter, he has collaborated with an impressive roster of Nashville talent including Grammy-winning songwriter Brett James, William Michael Morgan, Trent Tomlinson, Ronnie Bowman and Steve Wariner.

Over the years, Gary has toured and performed alongside artists including Phil Vassar, Kristian Bush, William Michael Morgan, Jeremy McComb and Sunny Sweeney, while also opening shows for country heavyweights including Clint Black, Chris Young and Grand Ole Opry legend Bill Anderson.

In August 2025, Quinn released “Country Strait”, a neo-traditional duet with William Michael Morgan. Co-written by Quinn and Morgan and produced by Nick Gibbens, the track celebrates their shared love of George Strait, cleverly weaving titles from the King of Country’s catalogue into a fresh country anthem. It followed singles “Watch Me,” “Poison” and “Heavy Boots,” the latter co-written with Brett James, as part of Quinn’s latest Nashville-recorded project.

With an award-winning catalogue, collaborations with some of Nashville’s most respected writers and artists, an expanding international live presence and his work helping to grow country music on both sides of the Channel, Gary Quinn continues to fly the flag for UK country music while building a career that connects Nashville tradition with a distinctly transatlantic story.
