The Inspector Cluzo are a fiercely independent rock-blues duo from Mont-de-Marsan in southwest France, formed in 2008 by lifelong friends Laurent Lacrouts (guitar/vocals) and Mathieu Jourdain (drums). Friends for more than 30 years, the pair first met while studying mathematics and fundamental physics before dedicating their lives to music and sustainable farming.
Blending raw blues, garage rock and hard-hitting live energy, The Inspector Cluzo have performed more than 1,200 concerts across 67 countries, touring everywhere from Europe and South America to Asia and Africa. Their travels have taken them to major international festivals including Fuji Rock Festival, Lollapalooza Chile, Lollapalooza Brazil and Pentaport Rock Festival. Along the way, they have shared stages and toured alongside artists including Eels, Neil Young and Clutch, earning a reputation as one of the most explosive and authentic live duos in modern rock music.
Outside of touring, Laurent and Mathieu are also agro-ecological farmers at their “Lou Casse” farm in the Landes region of France, where they focus on sustainability, food self-sufficiency and environmentally conscious living. That same philosophy shapes their music and performances: everything is played 100% live, with no backing tracks or pre-recorded tapes, just guitar, drums and pure human energy. Rooted in the spirit of the blues and driven by a belief in independence, honesty and organic creativity, The Inspector Cluzo represent a rare modern band entirely committed to doing things their own way.
