The Poozies have been mistresses of cosmic shape-shifting for a miraculous 35 years…. Pioneers from the beginning, with a healthy dose of sass and irreverence, they paved the way for sparkly women folkies in a beardy man’s world.

The band continue to be anchored by the glorious bass of founding member Mary Macmaster’s electro-harp, while the irrepressible riotousness of Eilidh Shaw & Sarah McFadyen’s twin fiddles burst off to happily explore other musical dimensions.

The band are ever-evolving, and in 2023 they brought in the shimmeringly joyful guitar powerhouse Michael Bryan, and went on to experiment with various highly-acclaimed drummers and percussionists, resulting in the full-time addition of rhythm maestro Donald Hay.

2026 sees them further embrace their unique brand of Trad-Punk with defiantly idiosyncratic new music. A blissful mix of songs that make you sing and tunes that make you dance, all bursting with energy, seduction, rascality.

…Alive with dynamic gear changes, tempos, moods and winsome catchiness, often hypnotic in its lure.

This is the serenade of a rare butterfly in the ring with a will to take on the wind and win. The Poozies return undaunted and full of energy.
