TV Pins are a 5-piece band from London and the West Midlands,  who deliver harmonic Indie Rock that bridges Prog-Pop, New Wave and West Coast Americana with a distinctively British alt-rock songwriting style.

They share a love of keyboard grooves and a fusion of styles from 70’s americana, classic British new wave, 60’s psychedelia and hook-laden power pop. The band combine in the pop songs flavours of americana, alt- pop songs, keyboard grooves and radio friendly harmonic rock with a spiky edge.

Comprising a unique blend of heritage and attitude, warm yet spiky tunes, TV Pins sound like an updated version of that classic band you’d forgotten how much you loved. Nifty arrangements, big harmonies and a sound that echoes iconic bands like ELO and Supertramp are sprinkled with 90s nostalgia reminiscent of Crowded House.

Songwriters Duncan & Miles played in the 1990s Busking pop phenomenon, Bean and toured in Canada, Australia & Europe making huge waves on the Fringe, Cabaret and Music festival circuits. They performed on TV shows and released singles that lead to supports with big 90s acts e.g. Blur Miles went on to be an award-winning composer and arranger in his own right writing for Film and major events in Australia.

Simon, the bass guitarist and co-writer founded one of the worlds most lauded tribute bands, The Smyths and for many years has toured internationally and become known for sparkling live performances. He has also written and played with other artists and songwriters across Europe including James Clarke Five, Charlie Grant and Lopez.

Singer James Schofield joined the band 2 years ago and brought his own emerging talent as a singer songwriter. From developing a solo career of regional acclaim in the Midlands area to fronting TV Pins with his powerful voice, James completes the band to deliver multi-vocal harmony rock songs and quality catchy songwriting.

Combining compelling on-stage energy and eye-catching video output TV Pins are heading for “Greatest hits” status with their debut album.

The debut album by this band of troubadours is perfect for summer days. Many ghosts talk to you while listening to this – Springsteen, REM, The Finn brothers and more, but it has a heart and a swagger that is all its own. Hopefully, to be heard floating from the tents of whoever can afford to go to Glastonbury this year while you watch the twitching ears as they slowly recognise brilliance like a cartoon dog following the smell of a particularly flavoursome pie.
Louder Than War
It felt like I was listening to a Greatest hits album first time of hearing.
John Davis, Metropolis Music
Seriously talented group of musicians ! The vocal harmonies and overall standard of both songwriting and musicianship is clear, these tracks are just oozing commercial appeal.
Rock The Joint Magazine
Aircutter; a hugely enjoyable album that takes it's inspiration just as much from the great American songbook as it does Leftfield British guitar pop.
