William Crighton, acclaimed Australian rock roots artist and exquisite storyteller, seamlessly fuses traditional music and unexpected experimentation. A child in awe of nature, Crighton is a passionate environmentalist working against environment destruction both on the ground and through his music.

In 2022 Crighton released his third album “Water and Dust”, toured to sold out audiences in his home country Australia and performed a three month tour in the UK and Euro which included major festivals as well as opening for Canadian bluegrass sensation The Dead South, Rock legends Midnight Oil on their final ever tour and Folk hero Beans on Toast.

Festival Highlights: Cambridge Folk Festival (UK), Boomtown (UK), Tonder (Denmark), Bluesfest (Australia), WOMAD (Australia), Woodford Folk Festival (Australia), the Gumball (Australia), Nannup (Australia), Dashville Skyline (Australia), Two Worlds Festival (Australia), Americana Fest (USA), Mullum fest (Australia), Bello fest (Australia), Blue Mountains Folk Festival (Australia), Blues for the Bush (Australia), Wave Rock (Australia), Skyfields (Australia).

Crighton has toured with the following artists: The Midnight Oil, The Dead South, Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real, The Beachboys, CW Stoneking, Dan Sultan, Gawurra, Vikki Thorn, Beans on Toast, Terra Lightfoot, and Claire Anne Taylor.

Like Tom Waits and Nick Cave, William Crighton is an original. But, apart from that, he’s like no one else.

Crighton looks like a bushranger and sings like a sage.
