Hailing from Brighton, Youth Sector’s music is a coiled spring of urgency and unpredictable energy; while lyrically offering a sense of catharsis for the confusion of modern adult life.
Taking influence from art school greats DEVO and Talking Heads, the Brighton 5 piece never revel in bleakness, managing to twist everyday narratives into music that is quite the opposite being upbeat, full of energy and with irresistible choruses you can’t help but sing along with.
The band have a fantastic live reputation, having supported Kaiser Chiefs, COIN, Darwin Deez, Goat Girl & The Pale White. Their festival catalogue includes SXSW, Rock For People, The Great Escape, Left of the Dial, Prague Music Week and many more.
They have also been championed by DIY Magazine, DORK, So Young, Gigwise, Line Of Best Fit, Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), Elton John (Apple Music), Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) and Abbie McCarthy (BBC Radio 1). Their debut album is coming out July 2025 via Dance To The Radio Record.
