💥 SUMMER PLAY – KEELEY – CAREER DEFINING MOMENTS!
As part of our Summer Play Series we asked Keeley to tell us about a career defining moment!
“That would have to be all four dates of our UK tour supporting Echobelly last May. I was always a big Echobelly fan, their single ‘I Can’t Imagine The World Without Me’ was one of the first records I ever bought. Supporting them on tour was my and our first experience of playing big halls with capacities ranging from 500-700 which was a significant step up in size and sound quality to anywhere I’d previously played.
I immediately felt comfortable in that environment, it felt totally natural to play to full houses of that many people even though it was a new experience. I had always suspected I was cut out for that level but until you’ve experienced it, you can’t be certain. What’s also significant about that tour is the fact that it directly led to us joining the Midnight Mango stable – our agent Sarah Thereze Nelsey was at the final date of that tour in London which is where she discovered us.”
