Moon Walker
Since debuting in May 2021, Moon Walker’s eclectic brand of rock n roll has catapulted them far beyond the spare room they self-recorded their debut record.
Taking cues from such legends as Bowie, Talking Heads and Led Zeppelin, singer/guitarist Harry Springer and drummer Sean McCarthy have created a fusion of explosive drum grooves and thrashing guitar riffs that is all their own. While listeners might hear traces of funk, post punk, or even kraut rock echoing through debut record “Truth To Power”, one would be left scratching their head for weeks if they sought to limit Moon Walker’s vast soundscape to one genre.
With bold, timely lyrics that confront such issues as economic inequality, media sensationalism and social responsibility, Moon Walker has made it clear that they will never shy away from shouting what they believe in.
So, listen up, because Moon Walker has a lot to say and they aren’t going anywhere.
“Sticking their lyrical finger in the face of greed and misguided religion, the act pull no punches with what is our favorite rock track of 2021.” – Matt Simon (Ear To The Ground Music)
“This is throwback punk with a satirical edge. Highly infectious and I’d love to catch these lads for an interview sometime – I reckon they’ve lots of interesting opinions and views.” – The Sound Sniffer
“Blessed with memorable hooks and a knack for posing, this is a group that is clearly aiming towards large and long-lasting success. I can’t see them quit and go off to college, but I can see them recording their own ‘Elephant’”. – Eduard (Alt77)
