The Communicators

It’s 25 years since Britpop and 40 years since Two Tone, the last real music scenes that meant more than great music. It was a lifestyle, a way of life and an attitude that hasn’t been replicated since.

The Communicators take influences from Madness, Blur and Ray Davies and add their own twist to the mix, their music takes you on a dance craze through Punk, Ska, Two Tone and Britpop. The blend of harmonious, brass drenched tunes with cleverly crafted lyrics provides a sound that is vibrant, jumping and a little bit cock-sure of itself, with a wink at the past and a cheeky grin into the future, it adds to the feel of better times ahead!

The Communicators first show back, having been on hiatus, was played to a sell out crowd at the Tropicana in Weston-Super-Mare. They have a new album “Frankie Howerd’s Slipper” released in August 2019 on their own label ‘BritSka’.

2020 will see The Communicators firmly back on the live music scene where they belong.

“Mitch is a natural, a force of nature and The Communicators are his method of delivery!” – Rhoda Dakar
