Life is crazy-full of stuff these days and it doesn’t stop when you start your working day. It’s easier than ever to get distracted by modern life. Our computers and phones tempt us with infinite distractions. Sometimes it can take real willpower to stay on task and get work done.
However, booking shows is fun, right? When you get in the zone, time can really fly by. There’s a tangible satisfaction in booking a great show or striking a great deal. But what about those tiresome tasks that we all have to do, like making payments, updating contacts, writing contracts, billing artists, updating websites etc?
Well, here at Midnight Mango the services we provide and the systems we follow, take a lot of that weight away.
“We’re very good at booking in a lot of shows and keeping artists busy. We try to have a friendly relationship with everyone we work with. We also try and be fair.” Louise (Agent)
The service we offer gives back time, so our agents book way more shows! – And I mean way, way more shows. We have agents who were booking 200 shows a year before the pandemic, who are now booking well over 300!
What does this mean?
Well in short it means our agents earn way more with us than they did before they joined!
Our disruptive agency model gives back more TIME to the agent. Everyone works from home, so our company expenses are low. The combination of these two factors means we can return way more money back to our freelance booking agents!
It’s simple, there are three basic tiers
- Agents Get two-thirds of their commission back
- Senior Agents Get 70% of their commission back
- Super Agents Get 80% of their commission back
If we invite you to join us, we’ll discuss what tier you start at, it will depend on the amount of commission you expect to generate and what you have done in the past. Then we’ll offer you the tier we think is most suited to your booking activity.
Then every March we’ll automatically look at your progress to see if it’s time to move up!
We Invest in Junior Agents
We frequently receive funding that allows us time to train agents. We love training new agents and we have developed a hands-on course to do just that. Our trainee agents always have some experience of booking shows for artists. For example, they might have a small roster of new artists and be booking them in their spare time. If that person is you, feel free to get in touch to find out more. Occasionally we will take on junior agents without funding on a lower commission rate.
