Red Giant

Red Giant (formerly The Dave Simpson Trio) was formed by Dave in 2007 and has gone through many line-up changes before reaching the perfect one, that it is right now.

Every Red Giant gig is different as the band likes to stretch themselves to their absolute limits and in doing so, gives the crowd a different experience every night. John Joe’s drumming is full feel and groove whilst holding the time down effortlessly for Carina to lock in with her thunderous bass playing. This is what gives Dave the ability to float over the top of the fantastic rhythm section to add an extra texture to the songs that are constantly changing. This is very much an old school way of playing, and the band love to play this way.

Red Giant are currently recording their second album with a view to a major launch in the summer and gigging in the autumn.
